What's for Hot Lunch?
Our meals come from the Whitnall School District. In the event that Whitnall does not have school (as stated on our monthly calendar and hot lunch menus), then St. Jacobi will not serve hot lunch. Lunch billing is sent out at the beginning of the following month.
Could You Help Serve Hot Lunch?
Volunteers are needed for 1 to 1½ hours per month. We have the ability to offer a hot lunch program for our children; however, this program is available only if we have enough volunteers to serve the hot meals.
Please consider giving your time to serve hot lunch from approximately 10:45 am to 12:10 pm. Serving once a month equals just 9 - 13 volunteer hours, for the entire school year. It really is easy and fun to do.
There isn’t much prep work, as Whitnall School District prepares the food for us, and there is very little clean-up required. Your children love to see you when they come through the lunch line and since you will be serving as a team, it will give you an opportunity to get to know other St. Jacobi parents. It really is an easy way to serve our Lord at your child’s school. Please look closely at your schedule to see if there is room to fit this service opportunity into your life.
